Resumen

CARRICARTE PENALVER, Liliany. Connexions betweeen Rome and its Provinces in the Numismatic Collection of Museum Dihigo. UH [online]. 2023, n.297  Epub 10-Jun-2023. ISSN 0253-9276.

The Dihigo Museum has a valuable collection of original Roman coins. These pieces were issued in Roma, various allied cities of the Italian peninsula and the provinces. The specimens of this collection are from eleven mints, scattered throughout various areas of the European continent and Asia Minor. The pieces cover a period from 230-220 B.C., date of the Etruscan sextant, to 383-388 A.D., time of a siliqua de Trier. In these provincial coins, it is possible to appreciate the dialogues established between the hegemonic centre, Rome, and the different territories that came to be under his domain not only economic, but also historical, political, religious and cultural. The corpus of work shows numerous elements related to religious worship, because it was a fundamental part of Roman life.
