The student faces a number of challenges in his training due to the constant scientific and technological change in the world, so it is necessary to review and redefine the tasks related to the knowledge required by society, particularly in matters of continuous improvement and learning. It is essential that Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have quality Educational Programs (PE) and for this to be fulfilled, it is necessary that teachers have the necessary skills for the teaching of subjects. The present article shows the results of the application of a Likert scale instrument to 500 engineering students from a Higher Education Institution in Northeastern Mexico in order to learn about perceptions on the training and methodology applied by teachers in classes; and thus find the areas of opportunity of the academic plant.
