Promoting culture preserved and developed in higher education institutions has been an imperative that has marked Cuban higher education, favoring the fulfillment of its mission through its substantive processes: teaching, research and extension. The studies carried out using theoretical and empirical methods reveal the work carried out by CEPES in promoting scientific culture, both nationally and internationally, and the challenges that this work faces in the current context, which constitutes the central objective of this work.
