The doctoral training of teachers - directors of the Salesian Polytechnic University at the University of Havana and its Center of Studies for the Improvement of Higher Education (CEPES) generates results and benefits that simultaneously improve the teaching staff, its institution and the society to which it belongs.

The first part of this article addresses the change from education as an activity developed for the love of knowledge to an education assumed as capital and with it the relevance of ensuring the quality of university education for accreditation purposes, a process that verifies the results of teaching, research and links with society, in which one of the main actors is the teacher.

Finally, we present the results of the relevance and impact of the doctoral training program and its impact on the continuous assurance of university quality through institutional accreditation, a fact that gives credibility, solidity and confidence to the Ecuadorian society to which it belongs.
