We made a research study aimed at finding out the morbidity and mortality rates from bronchopneumonia in "Hermanas Giralt Andrew" Home for the Aged in 1996 and 1997. We conducted a retrospective study which revealed that 41 aged women suffered from this disease, 20 of whom died. Throught 1997, 34 old women suffered from asthma fits and 10 died.
