SALAS PEREA, Ramón S.; ANEIROS RIBA, Ramón y HATIM RICARDO, Alberto. La evaluación de la competencia clínica de los educandos mediante las inspecciones integrales en la Educación Médica Superior. Educ Med Super [online]. 1996, vol.10, n.1, pp. 5-6. ISSN 0864-2141.
The value of the integral audits that the Public Health Ministry carries out in Superior Medical Education centers, is analyzed, as a method to verify the clinical competence level achieved by the students in the essential subjects and disciplines of the basic and clinic cycles, and in the pre-professional practice of the different Medical Sciences careers, as well as by the residents of the different specialties. The outcomes of the theoretical and/or practical tests carried out by 3 344 students and 373 residents, are assessed. Some outcomes are compared with other studies, to ratify the certifying value of the tests, realized by national external tribunals. The validity and reliability of the tests done, and the effectiveness of the method used, are appreciated, and that allow the authors to infer that their pupils reach a good level of clinical competence, which enables them to offer their services to society.
