An analytic and prospective study was carried out for aasesing Cockcrofts and Gaults methods in determionation of the Nephrology Service at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital, during 1999 and 2000. The sample was composed of 70 nursesand 20 suppossedly healthy. Descriptive and indiferential techniques whit significance level of 0.05 and confiability of 95 %, were applied. Sensibility was of 82, 35 %, 100 % for specificity and global efficacy of 82, 85 %. Coincidence with conventional method was of 58 sick (82, 9) and agreement coefficient of 0, 81. The formula was valid for the glomerular filtring, resulted adventageous, economic and may be retrivied.
