Eleven clinical samples and 5 environmental samples were studied looking for microorganisms of Legionella specie during a clinical research carried out to clear up the causes of respiratory sepsis in the service of pediatric cardiovascular surgery. Two of the environmental samples were found to be positive, in one of them Legionella bozemanii was isolated constituting the first report in our country. Although it was not possible to demonstrate a relationship between respiratory pictures and the finding, it was important to know the occurrence of this germ because it is very frequent in hospital environment and it is the cause of an important number of nosocomial infections with a high cost of lifes and resources.
