A development-applied, exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional research was conducted, based on the previous diagnosis of a research characterizing Portal Hypertension in Pediatric Ages (PHPA). This research established important clinical-imaging aspects of the disease in Pinar Rio. Besides; a documentary analysis about diverse systems in the management of this pathology was carried out adapting them for the territory. The purpose was to create a strategy for the imaging management of the PHPA starting from a proposal of a system to an integral diagnostic management, and targeted at Primary and Secondary Health Care personnel in order to establish the risk categories of suffering from this disease. It also allows, a proper assessment of these patients' status, the development of preventive, curative health actions, knowing the value as an indicator of prognosis, creating a mechanism to achieve the prophylaxis and the early diagnosis as ways to diminish PHPA incidence, morbidity and mortality rates as well as the rate of severe complications such as digestive bleeding or portal encephalopathy aimed at increasing the quality of life of these children.
