It is a topic submitted for consideration of specialized lector, a group of reflections on use of regional techniques during occurrence of war conflicts. In these situations subjects suffering great traumata, during a relatively short period, and with a predominance of limbs injuries, it is necessary to create special conditions during decisions taking in anesthetic practice. Objective: To perform a updating on regional techniques during war conflicts. Material and Methods: We performed a bibliographic search at national and international level on this topic. Development: We identified the anesthesiologist criterion in these cases, which is challenged to many features determining choice of a specific technique, so where previous training for this moment, may to determine the transcendental way, and even to focus on result of his behavior. Historical trend to avoid regional techniques in patients suffering traumata, is changing, thus it is necessary a review of scientific evidences in this respect. Conclusions: Choice of a regional anesthetic technique, must to be based in acquired clinical experience, the better available scientific evidences, without to undervalue its potentials in this particular circumstance.
