From September 2007 to May 2008, an educational intervention was carried out to modify the concepts about sexuality and improve quality of life of elderly patients from doctor´s office # 9 of Camagüey´s Tula Aguilera Polyclinic. The universe comprised 70 patients; out of them, a sample of 50 was selected and surveyed to know about their levels of knowledge about sexuality. Results showed a predominance of age group 60-69, males, and elementary school level; as well as, an inadequate knowledge about sexuality. An educational strategy was designed and later evaluated as effective because the patients’ knowledge about the topic had been modified.
