Theoretical exploration in works by dissimilar authors and the analysis of documents that regulate the formative process of the students of Sociology, revealed the scarce presence of proposals referring to the conceptual structure of the conflict resolution competence in Sociology students. Constituent elements are described of the conceptual structure of this competence. Among the theoretical methods were used the analytical-synthetic, the inductive-deductive and the systemic-structural-functional modeling to address the specificities of the aforementioned competence. From the empirical level were used the analysis of documents for the approach to the study of said competence whose genesis is located in the prevention and management responsible and committed to conflicts, from the process of socio-emotional education.
