One of the texts most studied by educators and students of the technical specialties (Agriculture, Construction, Mechanics, Accounting and Finance) at the University of Guantánamo, is Didactics of Technical and Professional Education (ETP), whose content constitutes a very important tool.

The authors Dr. C. Roberto Lucas Abreu Regueiro, Full Professor and Professor Emeritus of the University of Pedagogical Sciences "Enrique José Varona", and Ms. C. Jorge Soler Carderius, also professor of that institution, with teaching category of Assistant Professor, both are researchers of recognized prestige in the area of technical sciences address subjects that bring together with clarity and accuracy the most general aspects of the teaching-learning process of Technical and Vocational Education. (Abreu y Soler, 2014)

Its content reveals the main results of the research projects developed by the professors of the then University of Pedagogical Sciences "Héctor Alfredo Pineda Zaldívar", as well as of other Cuban educational institutions, summarizing both theoretical and empirical pedagogical experiences, carried out by experts in Technical and Professional Education.

The text under analysis is structured in two parts, which in turn contain four chapters:

The first part deals with the General Didactics of TVE:

The first chapter refers to the teaching and learning process as an object of study of TVE, detailing its background, emergence and development, the conceptual theoretical framework, the region and object of study, the categories and general principles. In the author's opinion, this chapter allows the reader to understand practical experiences in the development of this process, which can be applied in their professional spheres of action.

The second chapter deals with the theoretical and methodological bases of the teaching-learning process of TVE from its formative conception; it considers the essential characteristics of this process, its direction through facilitation, as well as the conditions that favor the personal growth of the learner according to the demands of the professional's model.

The third chapter of the book deals with the system of didactic components and the use of the educational potential of the formative teaching-learning process of TVE, based on the necessary relationship between the polytechnic school and the labor entity. These elements are considered essential for the didactic-methodological training of students who are trained as teachers of Technical and Vocational Education in Cuban universities.

The fourth chapter contains the study of the direction of the formative teaching-learning process in TVE, thus it is explained the teaching tasks and learning situations, the development of creativity, the formation of concepts, skills and habits, from the learning strategies.

The second part, also structured in four chapters based on experiences related to TVE Particular Didactics, presents the results derived from research and their introduction in the practice of the formative teaching-learning process in TVE:

The first chapter covers general experiences, in it we find what cannot be refused, the approach of the Martí program from the technical subjects, the characterization of the pedagogical professional performance and the development of the professional competences of the technical sciences teacher, the class in TVE, as well as the formation of the qualified middle-level work force in Cuba, from the polytechnic school-labor entity integration.

In the second chapter, practical experiences are revealed related to the didactics of particular subjects of TVE, among which are distinguished, proposal of actions to favor the development of creativity in the Economics career, the practical workshop class, methodological treatment to the technical subjects of TVE, didactic activities for the treatment of nutritional education from the subject Soil Sciences, as well as the environmental dimension from the subject Technological Means and its science-technical-production relationship.

The third chapter states practical experiences of the particular didactics of the subjects of Technical and Professional Education referred to the treatment of specific contents, such as: instruction chart system for the development of practical classes and methodological guide for the development of the Integrating Tasks.

Finally, the fourth chapter shows experiences in the professionalization of general training contents and other experiences in areas of impact in Technical and Vocational Education.

Although the text is aimed at students of technical careers of Bachelor's Degree in Education, it is of great value for practicing teachers, since it integrates in a logical and systemic way, the basic aspects that make up and support the Didactics of Technical and Vocational Education.

The way in which the book Didactics of Technical and Vocational Education was written permits the implementation of the theoretical and methodological aspects explained in its pages, for providing young teachers with the fundamental didactic tools, for being aware that everything that is exposed in it has a direct relation with their professional activity in the basic link. Its consultation is recommended.
