The use of English is a necessity today. In education, developing communicative competence in English is a challenge for teachers and students; it is even more challenging in a non-face-to-face education context. The advancement of technology is an ally in this context. This study aims to determine the impact of technological tools on English communicative competence in university students. The design was quasi-experimental, and the sample of 62 students: 31 from the Control Group and 31 from the Experimental Group in a national university in Peru. A pre-test and a post-test on communicative competence in English and a questionnaire on the use of technological tools were applied. The arithmetic mean shows an improvement in 5.13 points using the technological tools, after comparing the pre-test and post-test. It is concluded in a significant improvement in English communicative competence among university students.
