The current research emerges by the need of offering a solution to one of the indispensable problems nowadays, the environmental education, related to the preparation of the family in the community. As a result of the research a strategy of environmental education was created from the application of the initial diagnose and it responds to the detected needs in Hermanos Cruz community of Pinar del Río. The proposal allows us to educate the families, in order to contribute to take care of the environment, in the formation of knowledges, attitudes and effective actions from the home, taking into account the family as the main cell of the society.
