The Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party applied since 2011 have impacted all areas of our daily life. It seeks the construction of a prosperous society defined from the aspiration to an economic and social development that achieves the material and spiritual satisfaction of citizens, empowering them as human beings. Under these assumptions and focusing on the subject, we asked ourselves: how labor and non-labor actors conceptualize prosperity? We based our research on the theory of social identities, the category of social perception and studies carried out in Cuba on inequality and social equity. We worked with a mixed research design, applying a questionnaire, a drawing and a semi-structured interview. The applications took place in two periods: January and February 2018, and October 2018. The results show interesting heterogeneities and homogeneities, and open questions regarding the work category.
