This document presents the development, results and scope of a doctoral thesis investigation whose general objective was to analyze the role of leadership of teaching managers in the processes of the Quality Management System for the achievement and quality assurance of the educational service offered by the Luigi Pirandello School (Bogotá DC) and the CampestreReinoBritánico Gymnasium (Tenjo), located in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. From a causal correlational investigation, with a mixed approach and a non-experimental design, the relationship between the managerial, administrative, pedagogical and community processes was analyzed, regarding the leadership function of teaching managers. The quality of education is analyzed from a broad conception where education is, above all, a fundamental right in the context of a Social Rule of Law, and an essential element in the construction of social justice.
