The presence of students with cultural diversity motivates the study of intercultural coexistence. This research responds to the "Intercultural Education" Project of the Preparatory Faculty of the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. Analyze the theoretical perceptions of the concept of intercultural coexistence, was the objective. Scientific research methods were used: heuristic, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, historical-logical, among others. As a result, a concept of intercultural coexistence is offered from an integrating vision with the four fundamental learnings of education and the stages of the intercultural process, and thereby contribute to the development of intercultural education.
