Consider a set of general knowledge that leads the student to his constant search for information as part of self-management of knowledge and exchange with nursing mothers and children from six to 18 months of age. Nutrition in early childhood is directly related to general health. The salivary pH can be modified by the type of food consumed, when it is drastically modified it favors bacterial growth and increases the predisposition to develop early dental caries. To keep the dental organs in children healthy, the need to prepare the students from all the actions of the educational teaching process arises, with the end of carrying out a more preventive work with pregnant and lactating mothers. The study is carried out in the "Senderos de Luz" children's center, Pujilí canton, Cotopaxi province, through qualitative-quantitative, correlational, and field research. The data obtained will allow the elaboration of an oral hygiene care guide, which allows the reduction of the predisposition to develop dental caries and serves as support material for students in preventive activities.
