The development of humanity is impacted by the advances that transversalize and influence the system of relationships established in every society and, in particular, in the formative processes. Hence, this article aims to support, from the sciences, the social need to strengthen the school-family-community link in the current scientific-technological context of Dominican society. The methods used in the documentary study are analytical-synthetic and systematization for the articulation of the foundations and approaches assumed. The result reflects on the challenges faced by education today and the fundamental role of socializing agencies in the formation of the human being. The conceptualization of the fundamental categories, education as a social phenomenon and its schooled vision are addressed. In synthesis, the manifestations of rigidity, control and centralism, which characterize these relationships and the transformations to achieve integration in function of the integral formation of the personality are revealed, as well as the protagonism that corresponds to the school to propitiate collaborative and democratic relationships, at the same time the need to deepen the treatment of the subject in teacher training is stated.
