Introduction:

During the last decades, the world has been exposed to a series of threats due to emerging viral outbreaks, such as the new coronavirus SARS-COV-2, declared as the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 due to its rapid spread among humans, where a significant proportion of cases are related to occupational exposure, therefore, the analysis of how they are processed is decisive for their prevention.

Objective:

To discuss multi-sectoral occupational risk behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic and the recovery phase.

Development:

A review of the literature available in digital format in the period from June to July 2020 was carried out, which covered the bibliographic databases Pubmed, Dialnet, and SciELO, using the terms occupational risk, COVID-19 and prevention measures, consulting a total of 30 bibliographic sources, 27 of which were selected, and which were in line with the topic in question.

Conclusions:

The labor risks correspond to variables that make the worker susceptible to diseases, which are accentuated during the COVID-19 pandemic, where besides health workers, there are other types of workers who have a greater risk of infection through their work, being fundamental the application of measures to control the spread of the disease and to guarantee their protection during the stage of return to the labor activities, similar to those implemented by Cuba: obligatory use of masks in places of high concentration of people; the physical distance and the obligatory disinfection of the hands, among others.
