Objective:
This article aims at devising a system of psycho-educational actions to promote the development of socio-emotional skills of waiters and its corresponding framework meeting the performance quality requirements gastronomic of the tourism sector.
Methods:
The authors rely on theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis, historical-logical and functional structural systemic modeling for constructing a framework. The use of empirical methods allowed the analysis of relevant aspects that made it easier to know the current state of the subject under investigation, identify areas for potential improvement and propose the psychoeducational actions to be carried out, among these, the analysis of documents and primary sources of information, observation, and the Discussion Group as a methodology for group work with the participants. The proposal of the system of actions was assessed by the criteria of users under the precepts of the Iadov Logical Chart.
Result:
The main contribution of the research was the proposed system of psycho-educational actions for promoting the development of socio-emotional competencies of the gastronomic employees of the hospitality tourist industry.
Conclusion:
The actions of the system allow to promoting the development of socio-emotional competencies of waiters for a coherent integration of functions between entities in charge of the entry, development, and evaluation of performance, to favor the expression of quality performance and human developmentof these professionals.
