Objective:
This paper aims at describing a sustainable technological design competency model for the education of Chemical Engineer students.
Methods:
The authors rely on theoretical methods for constructing a framework and modeling for devising a method for the development of the sustainable technological design competency.
Results:
The main finding is the description of the components and qualities of a three-subsystem model that includes sustainability foundations, nature transforming for producing chemicals, and technological capacity education.
Conclusion:
Modeling the competency developmental process allows to identify the components and main qualities of three subsystem corresponding to motivation, comprehension, and systematization in attaining technological capacity education.
