The paper addresses issues concerned with the mission of the university in the training of professionals, to solve the problems of society with relevance and responsibility in relation to sustainability, which demands that are integrated into its context to help solve economic, social and environmental problems that today's society demands. The aim of this study is to identify the pedagogical model of the university response to sustainable development as an educational challenge. The logic of the research took into account the use of various techniques and research methods, among which the observation, interview and survey analysis of documents, which then processed results contributed to the development of theoretical and practical framework of the proposal.
