The article proposes a pedagogical strategy of environmental education for sustainable development in the education of the student of pedagogical careers. They guarantee the fulfillment of the objective, the use of theoretical and empirical methods, of quantitative and qualitative approaches, which are articulated from the techniques of action-participatory research. The strategy constitutes the contribution to the pedagogical theory and the programs of the organizational forms of the initial formation are contributions of practical significance. The criterion of experts, as a result of the systematization of a sequence of cycles, and the evaluations of different evaluators confirm the relevance and effectiveness of the pedagogical strategy of environmental education for sustainable development in the education of the student of pedagogical careers.
