Since Physical Culture represents a branch of permanent education, which seeks the realization of harmony between the biological and psychic components of the personality, the pedagogical principle of unity of the affective and the cognitive in the training of its professionals is essential. The objective of the present study is to analyze the current state of the unity of the affective and the cognitive in the formation of the Physical Culture professional at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH), Ecuador. From the Delphi method of expert criteria, it was possible to identify that there are limitations in the current pedagogical process, related to the motivation towards learning, the development of self-regulated learning, the development of reflective thinking and the attention to diversity. Consequently, a set of actions are proposed to strengthen them in the career.
