SUASTI LOPEZ, Claudia Alexandra; LOPEZ PENAFIEL, María Alexandra  y  AUCANCELA BRAVO, Joan Manuel. Workshops in synchronous virtual environments as a pedagogical strategy for significant learning. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.5, pp. 296-303.  Epub 30-Oct-2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Education in virtual environments presents challenges to achieve academic goals, highlighting the importance of pedagogical approaches that facilitate the evaluation of knowledge acquired in this context. This article aims to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of the implementation of synchronous workshops as a pedagogical tool for the significant learning of students of the online Law course at the Technical University of Manabí, through supervised workshops and evaluated in real time, comparing with the results of asynchronous evaluations. A quantitative research with observational and transversal non-probabilistic approach was used, using the software Info Stat, the Wilcoxon Test was applied to compare through the four units of the subject Labor Law 1 the averages of the asynchronous evaluation, parallel A and B, with those of the synchronous workshop, also in parallel A and B, obtaining 132 observations. The values of tests gave a P-value < 0.05, demonstrating significant differences between the evaluation approaches. The synchronous workshop strategy obtained an average of 9.90, showing its advantage over asynchronous evaluations. This study contributes to the improvement of learning in virtual environments and suggests an effective pedagogical approach.
