The victim is usually a procedural subject in criminal proceedings and in song to the crime, it is the other extreme, it is the affected one, the one who receives the unfair and illegitimate effects on their rights and legal assets. For this and more, it matters to Criminal law and Criminal procedure, to Victimology, Criminology among many other auxiliary sciences, all of them to Criminal Law. This article of a qualitative nature and that uses scientific methods such as the historical-logical, the analytical-synthetic and the inductive, poses as a general objective: To critically review the role of the victim in the criminal process from a philosophical vision of their self-endangerment in certain crimes and leads to clarify the factual contributions that the victim contributes to the criminal result on occasions, as well as the legal significance that it may have in the criminal process and in criminal responsibility itself.
