Introduction:

The finest resource a scientist has today is time. One minute without a specific vaccine, proper treatment, or safe protocol means thousands of deaths from COVID-19. Global emergency that triggered an exponential growth of all kinds of publications about coronavirus called Infodemia. Based on this infoxication, the urgent need for the country to have national tools to help it quickly find scientific and technological information from reliable sources is identified. The objective of this research is to develop a Coronavirus Metric Observatory that allows for the search, retrieval and analysis of scientific, technological, drug, clinical trials and biomolecules information associated with the subject, as well as the dissemination of official news from international and national sources.

Methods:

Different theoretical and empirical methods were used that allowed, together with certain technologies, techniques and metric methodologies, to develop the Observatory as a dynamic and intelligent platform.

Results:

Ability to monitor, analyze and view graphs and maps with the information from scientific articles, patent applications and grants; also recovering records of clinical trials, drugs and biomolecules used in research on COVID-19 as well as the main news published by reputable sources. Conclusions: This scientific result allows for comprehensive surveillance on all fronts from which the coronavirus domain is investigated. It responds to the needs of scientists, specialists, teachers, decision makers and the general population about what is happening at the national and international level on the COVID-19 issue.
