The consumption of drugs or controlled substances is a social problem that is increasing among young people, hence the need to study the impact it has on the human organism. The objective of this article was design an educational strategy for the prevention of drug use among young people at the Centro de Desarrollo Integral No. 314. The research uses a mixed approach, of an explanatory type, non-experimental and transversal design. Theoretical, empirical and mathematical or statistical methods were used to deepen the results. The study population consisted of 67 young people between 15 and 20 years of age. The educational strategy made it possible to increase action on preventive work and rejection of consumption. The damage caused by drugs to health and to the whole family was made known. The educational proposal was submitted to validation by means of the expert criterion method and was viable for its implementation.
