Characterizing consumption practices in artistic culture activities; with the perspective of attracting the attention of research agendas, related to the university context, is the objective of this article. The research was carried out with a mixed approach, applying qualitative methodologies for the observation phase and quantitative ones for verification through data processing and analysis. The decrease in the participation and protagonist of young people in the development of strategies for the reproduction of daily life outside the university institution and the influence of mediations such as the profession, consumer practices and youth cultures in networks of social interactions in the development of their tastes and expectations, constitute an interesting approach for the analysis of cultural practices in university students, generating acute readings of what is enjoyed, as well as conditions for their social integration.
