CASTRO SERRANO, Lídice y BOSQUE SUAREZ, Rafael. SOME IDEAS ON RISK PREVENTION EDUCATION, COMMUNITY ENVORONMENTAL EDUCATION AND CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT. ARCIC [online]. 2019, vol.8, n.21, pp. 30-52. Epub 01-Dic-2019. ISSN 2411-9970.
A group of ideas about environmental education is presented as a key management process for disaster risk reduction. Some elements necessary for the effectiveness of environmental education programs that contribute to a culture of risk are identified: the transdisciplinary approach, the participatory approach, the understanding of the complexity of cultural processes and therefore, the processes of mentality change, look at social equity in these processes, such as gender, among others. Valid methodological approaches to promote risk culture from institutionalized educational processes are presented. Although the work addresses all educational processes, it emphasizes school education.
