STUART CARDENAS, Mavis Lis; DELGADO FERNANDEZ, Tatiana; DELGADO FERNANDEZ, Mercedes  y  PIEDRA SALOMON, Yelina. Linked business data: systematic review from an organizational perspective. ARCIC [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.23, pp. 153-176.  Epub 20-Nov-2020. ISSN 2411-9970.

Introduction:

Derived from the Semantic Web, the linked enterprise data technology is being used, with increasing frequency, to represent data, information and knowledge in organizations. However, its adoption is usually biased by a technological approach rather than an organizational one, thus limiting its engagement with the processes and strategic business objectives in a governable way.

Objective:

This article proposes the development of a systematic review on linked enterprised data from an organizational perspective.

Method:

The classic method of Systematic Literature Review is used, following a three-phase process: planning, execution and results. It is limited to a 10-year time window between 2010 and 2019. Its main focus is to discover how the organizational perspective has been approached in linked enterprise data technology.

Results:

An appropriate alignment of enterprise data technology linked to the business is the main shortcoming highlighted from the systematic review. Only 12% of the studies analyzed have consciously addressed its relationship with the objectives and strategies of the company where it is applied.

Conclusions:

There is an important lack in management models, methodologies and other frameworks to guide the implementations of linked enterprise data successfully and with alignment to organizational goals.

Palabras clave : linked enterprise data; systematic literature review; organizational perspective.
