The present research bases the educommunicative digital competencies for hypermedia environments that have been developed by teachers of the courses of the Academic Unit of Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Cuenca; It has a search for which an instrument based on the European framework of digital competencies was applied, validated prior to its application to the Teachers of the Academic Unit of Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Cuenca. The data collection technique is the survey developed in Google Forms, whose 25-item questionnaire measures the digital competencies of teachers, who integrate educommunicative strategies in hypermedia environments with digital competencies acquired empirically and have allowed them to interact with technology. , share existing digital resources in the hypermedia environment, as well as being able to create resources or reuse existing resources, so the level of information literacy must be identified based on the digital competencies of the teaching staff.
