The article summarizes some of the challenges the Cuban economy faces from the perspective of long-term growth. These were identified and agreed in the tasks associated to United Nations Development Assistance Framework for the period 2020-2024. In this exercise, specifically in the Economic Development area that was conducted by A. Hernández from INIE, was realized an evaluation of different topics associated to growth and to social and economic development, with a methodology proposed by United Nations. The current document supports each challenge with official statistics and precedent studies.
