For many years from the academy and other spheres in Cuba the so-called political economy of socialism has been assumed and operated, generally considering it as a science constituted itself; same that is explained in classrooms with categories and concepts, many of them not corroborated by social practice. On the other hand, the practice and development of socioeconomic theory suggest, in any case, that it is more relevant to speak of a Political Economy of the extraordinary transition to socialism, for the conditions of the so-called underdeveloped countries that have embarked on that path. in the world. The study carried out takes dialectical materialism and its theoretical and methodological tools as an analytical base, in proportion to the demands of the investigation.
