Water and saline stress affect markedly plant growth and yield. It is hoped that these stresses are intensified a cause of global climate change. Citrus, a perennial crop with a long horticultural life and a world importance are susceptible species to these kinds of stresses. For this reason, the objective of this review was to analize the effects that water (drought and flooding) and saline stress cause on citrus crop and describing some of strategies proposed at present, to reduce plant damaged induced by them
