A priority objective of the Socialist Revolution during all these years has been to attain among the university graduates the comprehensive education of a revolutionary professional. The changes occurred in the international arena after the collapse of the socialist field and the disappearance of the Soviet Union, as well as the increase of the economic and ideological aggressiveness of the US government and the beginning of the special period, have led to economic and social changes in Cuba that are in contradiction with the principles of the socialist society. This has brought about a loss of values and has had a marked influence on university professors and students. As a result of this situation, it was decided to develop a comprehensive approach of the educative, political and ideological work with the students. By defining the educative and instructive objectives, the project was aimed at developing among the students values that determined the quality of a Cuban revolutionary at present and the academic excellence. The application of this project comprised the curricular dimensions of university and sociopolitical scope.
