Introduction: the correct use of didactical principles guaranteed the knowledge of the students. The insert of the software like a teaching resource offers the possibility of new forms to teach and learn. Objective: explain the use of the didactical principles with educational software. Methods: a research on medical education was done at Artemio Mastrapa dental clinic, from December 2014 to February 2015. Theorical methods were used such as analysis and synthesis and logical historic, and bibliographical review, document analysis and observation were used as empiric methods. Results: the didactical principles are used on Rehabilitation software. All of them were applied on different forms of teaching learning process according to the different parts of the software. Conclusion: didactical principles are manifested during the using of the software, in all elements that compose them, stimulating the independence in the acquiring knowledge of the students.
