A study was carried out using the descriptive method for presenting the results showed in Tables and Graphics. The comparative mean test was used for separate groups describing the behaviour of enrollment in nursing and health technology majors in High School students, Pinar del Rio province during 2007- 2008 course. Considering 1360 students (30%) in twelfth grade who were opting for these majors, distributed in 23 high schools in the whole province. The enrollment was carried out according to the assignment algorithm used in the high school indicated by the High Education Ministry, but manually. As more important results, it was appreciated that 30% of the students registered in high schools opted for these majors, being the Health Technology within the profiles of Physic Therapy, Dental Prosthesis and Imaging the most requested. From the total of candidates 400 did not obtain majors. The scores used for the enrollment were different in every territory, although the highest were recorded in most of the technology profile in the area of Pinar del Río municipality.
