University teachers without pedagogical training are of current academic interest to improve the quality of higher education. This research aims to analyze the knowledge of teachers in Health Sciences about the competencies that they determine as the most developed in relation to the years of teaching, the study is exploratory and descriptive and was applied at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes, in which 10 teachers participated, a Likert-type questionnaire was applied whose teaching competencies are four dimensions of analysis, The most developed teaching competencies are those that correspond to the dimensions of management of the teaching-learning process, socialization and willingness to teach, the teaching training of university professors, their self-evaluation and constant reflection of their dynamic teaching practice are essential in order to achieve the quality of higher education in the Health Sciences.
