The research work of uniandes from before, made it necessary for UNIANDES University in Santo Domingo to seek the social transformation that the research community currently needs. The work has been organized from the first levels for the development of research competence in students and teachers to achieve the impact on the local environment, the objective of the work was to establish a comparison between the stage before the pandemic with the current moment of development in research at Uniandes, Santo Domingo. The research was based on a mixed paradigm, while the design was non-experimental, transectional, descriptive; whose main method was the measurement to establish the comparison between the stages. As a result, an increase in the quantity and quality produced and registered in regional databases and of greater impact of scientific works, books and papers for events was observed in the stages. In conclusion, a comparison has been made between the stages prior to the pandemic and the current stage of research at the Uniandes, Santo Domingo, thus defining the periods that the university has presented in its drive towards new integral achievements of the present.
