This study is aimed at taking some similarities in human capital management in Cuba’s leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies as points of reference to design a technology, which will give an account of their functioning, and contribute to a strategic management. For this, it presents a methodology for identifying similarities in three companies, describing their work force, and making a diagnosis of the state of integrated human capital management system. Additionally, two processes connected with this indicator are described. Major findings are a set of similarities, which constitute an essential reference for strategic human capital management in the companies under study.
