The media are community, private, or public entities and the communication outlets or tools used to deliver information or data. They also may engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which gives information on their socially responsible behavior, and qualitative and quantitative indicators of their finances. This paper is aimed at systematizing the conceptualization of the term CSR and its historical evolution, based on different theories and studies of this subject in general, and its relation to the media in particular.
