Health in Cuba is free but costs. From the development of Cuban economic model and in response to the implementation of the Guidelines for Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution, it is that this research was conducted at the Provincial General Hospital Dr. Gustavo Lima Aldereguía of Cienfuegos, in order to determine the costs of cataract patients seen at the Eye Center of Cienfuegos. For enforcement were used as basic research methods, analysis and synthesis, the descriptive and explanatory research techniques as were reviewing documents and exchange with specialists in the health sector and the Provincial Hospital of Cienfuegos. The results showed that when coasting by patients and pathologies information to help you develop processes management planning, control and decisionmaking, to analyze the costs and define to what extent they were used is obtained resources for hospital care efficiently and in correspondence with the patient's needs.
