VIEGO FELIPE, Percy Rafael; BORROTO NORDELO, Aníbal Enrique y GOMEZ SARDUY, Julio Rafael. Barriers to increase the efficiency of electric engine driven systems. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.3, pp. 63-73. ISSN 2218-3620.
Increasing energy efficiency in electric engines and in electric engines driven systems, using high efficiency equipment, is an opportunity that has not been correctly exploited worldwide, due to several barriers that prevent or restrain it. In this work, the main barriers are analyzed, and measures for eliminate them are suggested, many of them related to educative actions. Eliminating barriers, requires usually a package of measures, because otherwise if most barriers are not eliminated or reduced simultaneously, the expected objectives will not be reached. A study of case illustrates decisions based on short recovery periods that can lead to fail in achieving opportunities of economic feasibility. To eliminate barriers, the active role that should have the university through the different forms of postgraduate education and research, is explained
