Facing the challenges of the future, the education constitutes a valuable tool to continue humanity´s advance in the ideals of peace, freedom and social justice. Thus, it was contextualized in the Report of the International Commission on Education for the XXI’s Century to UNESCO, when it regards the educational policies as a permanent process in the enrichment of knowledge. In this context, one of the major challenges of education is the Environmental Education contained in the objectives of the millennium; which should contribute to a cultural renewal that allow taking care and helping the biodiversity. The article consists on the elaboration of theoretic and methodological conceptions that allow environmental manager’s formation based on the paradigm of Community Self- development from a critical evaluation of traditional models of Environmental Education.
