The rights of nature, the repair of environmental damage and the prevention. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.2, pp. 276-282. Epub 02-Abr-2021. ISSN 2218-3620.
Four decades have passed since the international community initiated the coordination of both economic and legal policies to promote a global transition towards sustainability, but the outlook is totally frustrating and discouraging, since environmental deterioration is still progressing in steps and the proliferation of environmental technicians and international conservation treaties, the exponential increase of environmental regulations and standards, the continuous expansion of the number of protected areas, an increasing green labeling of the products of sale, and a important increase in social sensitivity on the ecological problem. In addition, five decades have passed since the beginning of the conservation era, however the ecological deterioration continues to accelerate, so it is logical to think that something is failing in the environmental policies adopted so far by each state.
