Contributing with the career´s selection to educative level is a social need. This article describes an experience that emerges from the teaching process at the University of Informatics Sciences. Acting like researchers, students from 4th and 5th year majoring Informatics sciences engineering, that were attending the subjects Social Problems of Science and Pedagogical Training faced a social issue related to professional guidance as a part of their course final work and became tutors of their peers, supported by diagnosis in community pre-university centers,carried out by themselves. Along with profssors from the department of Social Sciences and Production Specialists who served so that they could guide their pre-university counterparts on the problems of adaptation to university life, provide them with notions on the essential content of their career associating it with as their guides, the extension project Motivation and Professional Orientation Actions was createdtheir personal and professional aspirations and carry out other guiding actions that were accepted by their peers. As a result, the University-School Workshop was developed with the inclusive participation of directors and students from external centers and favorable results, the students- tutors also participated in scientific events. A Web Portal was presented as a result of a degree thesis and a doctoral thesis on The Social Function of University Extension mediated by Peer Tutoring is being developed, which reaffirms the transversal and integrating nature of this process in the university.
