The study addresses the need to integrate the educational guidance to the work of the academic year teaching group, so that the strategy, which is planned there, can be extended to each of the students in the teaching-learning process. For this purpose, the theoretical results related to educational guidance and the academic year teaching group, as a body with a leading position in planning educational influences, are systematized. The perceptions and practices of teachers about the leading participation of the academic year teaching group in the design of the educational strategy are described as well as the professionalized knowledge derived from the work of educational guidance in the teaching-learning process. Nine professors from the first year of the Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering career and fourteen professors from the second year of the Mechanical Engineering career, belonging to the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana, participated in the research. Finally, a procedure is proposed to integrate the educational guidance to the work of the academic year group. It consists of five stages: initial diagnosis of the year, problematization, planning of educational guidance actions, execution of educational guidance actions and assessment of the educational guidance carried out. The procedure will allow the integration of the educational guidance to the work of the academic year group, as well as contribute to the preparation of the teachers so that they can carry out the educational work according to the requirements for the professional training.
